moodboard is the proud sponsor of the 2008 .net awards "Web application of the year" which has been awarded to BBC iPlayer bbc.co.uk/iplayer . The iPlayer is an application which allows you to catch up on the last 7 days of TV and radio programmes by either streaming or downloading to your computer. Anthony Rose, Controller of the BBC's vision and online media group says they are working on making the service more personal and social "Last year the BBC chose what you watch. This year you choose what you watch. Next year, your friends will choose what you watch". Google's year end Zeitgeist list names the iplayer as the fastest rising search term in Britain this year.
Congrats to the BBC iPlayer team and all the other winners of the .net awards which include Fi for "Design Agency of the year", Smashing Magazine for "Blog of the year" and The Dark Knight for "Viral campaign of the year". One of the most interesting winners on the list is You Suck at Photoshop for "Vodcast of the year" - a series of tutorials with adult-themed humour from Matt Bledsoe and Troy Hitch of the Big Fat Institute for Advanced Interactive Design.
