The moodboard sales team recently visited a few Scandinavian countries. On our return we found London positively spring-like compared to the chilling winter temperatures felt in Sweden and, even more so Helsinki. Our partners there spoke about Scandinavian culture and how they find London so different to their way of life. They find London's hustle and bustle a sharp contrast to their slower paced, calm and pure living, helped along with a few rounds of Vodka every now and again. The most famous festival in Finland is Savonlinna Opera Festival, a far cry from the most famous festivals in the UK such as Glastonbury and V Festival. Every summer the town of Savonlinna attracts tens of thousands of opera fans who gather at Olavinlinna, the worlds most northerly medieval stone castle. Tina Olkkonen, Marketing Director of Opera Festival In Finland, has allowed us access to their photos from the past events.

Although I wont be trading in my Glastonbury ticket just yet, Savonlinna would provide a unique and unforgettable experience. Also don’t forget to take a look at moodboards new gallery of Scandinavian images http://www.moodboard.com/gallery-search/74/scandinavian-life/ to see whether you would prefer this more tranquil existence. For now, I’m quite happy enjoying the vibrant cries from the market outside my central London office. Let us know what you would prefer.
